"Merely Mortal"

I don't know
how to talk to women
now that I'm flesh and bone.

When I was crazy,
I was a force of nature
and an energy that
exploded light bulbs
when I entered a room.

Now I'm just a guy
with some victories
under his belt,
some failures,
who has no superpowers
to speak of.

I've even hung up my cape.

Sanity is so...grey.
Time to start using the full palette
and get hospitalized again.
